Managing Change at Work Conference

The Psychology of Leadership,
Managing Change at Work Conference
5 December 2007
London

Change is challenging. It requires leaders who are willing and able to learn and adapt. And for when change really bites, today’s leaders need to demonstrate a consistent set of values and behaviours in order to create continuity and a foundation of trust

Transformational leadership is about taking people beyond what they would normally achieve by motivating and inspiring them to exceed their goals. But for leaders, this is about much more than simply being charismatic or ‘leading with a vision’.

Featuring new research and the practical leadership lessons learnt from the Clipper Round the World Yacht race 2005-2006, this seminar will identify how leaders can successfully navigate through challenges to transform individual and team performance.

Led by:
Emma Soane
Reader, Chartered Occupational Psychologist, Kingston Business School

Dr Emma Stanton
Clipper Round the World Crew Member
Specialist Registrar in Psychiatry, South London and Maudsley NHS Trust
